Full-Stack Engineer (Senior)

Job Overview

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll help build a next-generation data management and artificial intelligence platform supporting maritime domain awareness. You’ll work across frontend applications, real-time and offline data pipelines, databases, and machine learning integrations. The role offers broad technical ownership within a small, collaborative engineering team where individual contributions have visible impact. You’ll work with modern technologies including TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, WebGPU, MQTT, Redpanda, and Dagster. Your work will involve real-world data and systems used in mission-critical environments. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment, improve engineering practices, and contribute directly to products with significant operational impact.

Accountabilities

• Build and maintain application components, interfaces, and pages across the full technology stack.
• Implement historical and real-time data visualization and processing capabilities, including WebGPU-based data feeds.
• Design, develop, and optimize data models using PostgreSQL and Apache Iceberg.
• Develop and improve real-time data pipelines using technologies such as MQTT and Redpanda.
• Maintain and enhance offline and batch-processing pipelines using Dagster.
• Integrate machine learning models, algorithms, and data-processing capabilities into production applications.
• Improve local development workflows, testing practices, deployment processes, and CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling and GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to understand complex technical challenges and deliver reliable, performant solutions.
• Take ownership of engineering quality, with a strong focus on correctness, performance, maintainability, testing, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in full-stack software engineering, with the ability to contribute across frontend and backend systems.
• Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript and strong experience with modern frontend development.
• Experience with CSS and styling frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
• Hands-on experience with React and frontend frameworks such as Next.js.
• Familiarity with frontend state-management approaches such as React Context.
• Experience building backend services and APIs using Node.js, GraphQL, and REST.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Python and its use in software, data, or machine-learning workflows.
• Strong commitment to code quality, including testing, formatting, linting, type safety, and maintainability.
• A performance-oriented mindset and an interest in understanding systems deeply through experimentation, prototyping, and technical investigation.
• Strong communication and teaching skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
• A collaborative, curious, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively in a small team with broad responsibilities.

• Experience working with IoT devices, sensors, or edge-computing systems.
