PIM Data Engineer

Information Security Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols.
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on Akeneo PIM implementation and architecture experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of real-world e-commerce experience (within the last 5 years).
• Demonstrated experience with AWS technologies (Lambda, AppSync, DynamoDB).
• Strong understanding of data architecture and PIM platform configuration best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to design and architect scalable PIM solutions using Akeneo.
• Hands-on experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and third-party integrations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and mentor junior team members.
• Strong written communication skills with ability to produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation.
• Experience leading client calls, gathering requirements, and managing stakeholder expectations.

Nice-to-Have

• Active participation in large-scale e-commerce platform development and optimization.
• PIM / MDM certifications (Akeneo, Enterworks, Salsify, other major enterprise PIM platform).
• Experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, Adobe Commerce).
• Exposure to Data Management platforms (PIM, MDM, DAM, etc.).
