Senior QA Engineer

Accountabilities

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will own the quality strategy for a rapidly scaling software platform by creating reliable testing frameworks, improving engineering processes, and ensuring product excellence. You will work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to identify risks, validate solutions, and continuously improve the customer experience.

• Establish and lead QA practices for an AI-powered SaaS platform from the ground up.
• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies across user interfaces, APIs, integrations, and backend systems.
• Build and improve test case management, reporting processes, and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Own bug identification, reporting, prioritization, triage, and release validation processes.
• Develop the foundation for automated testing practices and CI/CD quality integration.
• Perform UI, API, performance, and database testing to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to improve product usability, functionality, and overall user experience.
• Evaluate system behavior, edge cases, and evolving requirements with strong critical thinking and product intuition.
• Advocate for pragmatic quality solutions that balance speed, reliability, and business impact.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced QA professional who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys building processes, solving complex problems, and improving how software is delivered. You bring strong technical testing expertise, ownership, and a user-focused mindset.

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on SaaS or web applications.
• Strong experience designing and executing UI and API testing strategies at scale.
• Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
• Knowledge of performance testing, database testing, and application monitoring practices.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and quality engineering principles.
• Ability to manage complex systems with changing requirements and competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• High ownership, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Programming experience in any language.
• Familiarity with React or modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Previous experience testing SaaS products in a fast-growing technology environment.
• Experience working with AI-powered products or emerging technologies.
