Senior Python Software Engineer/Open-Source Contributor

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain core features for large-scale Python frameworks and developer platforms focused on machine learning applications.
• Architect scalable, reliable, and user-friendly software solutions that serve as foundational tools for developers and AI practitioners.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external open-source contributors through code reviews, technical discussions, and community engagement.
• Contribute to the evolution of developer tools and frameworks, adapting to changing technologies and emerging industry needs.
• Integrate modern frontend technologies to deliver intuitive and seamless web experiences for Python-based applications.
• Participate in technical decision-making, helping define best practices and long-term architectural strategies.
• Support and foster open-source ecosystems by actively engaging with community feedback and contributions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Python software development.
• Strong expertise in architecting and maintaining complex Python frameworks, libraries, or large-scale software projects.
• Professional experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Svelte, or similar technologies.
• Proven experience contributing to, maintaining, or leading open-source software initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including scalability, testing, performance optimization, and developer experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and globally distributed environment.
