Principal Data Center Electrical Engineer

Accountabilities

• Define and standardize electrical architecture for hyperscale data centers, ensuring scalability, resilience, efficiency, and global consistency.
• Research and evaluate emerging electrical technologies and industry innovations, translating insights into actionable engineering standards.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve design guidelines, templates, and engineering playbooks used across global delivery teams.
• Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and external EPC partners to ensure alignment and high-quality implementation.
• Act as a technical authority, balancing multiple solution approaches while ensuring compliance with overarching design standards.
• Drive stakeholder alignment by communicating complex engineering concepts clearly and building consensus across global teams.
• Support the delivery of large-scale international data center projects, ensuring consistency in electrical design execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and industry best practices in data center electrical engineering.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale (20MW+) data center electrical design.
• At least 5 years of experience working on international data center or infrastructure projects.
• Deep expertise in electrical systems design, power distribution, redundancy strategies, and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of emerging data center technologies and global engineering standards.
• Proven experience collaborating with EPC firms and managing complex, large-scale engineering delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to define or contribute to engineering standards, playbooks, or design frameworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to align diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to evaluate multiple technical solutions and articulate trade-offs clearly and effectively.
• Leadership mindset with strong influence and consensus-building capabilities in global environments.
