Software Engineer - Platform

Accountabilities:

• Design and build core platform systems that support a high-scale database infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability for global workloads.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of distributed systems powering database services used by high-traffic applications.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to solve complex challenges in distributed systems, performance optimization, and system reliability.
• Work autonomously to analyze and resolve technical and business problems with minimal supervision, delivering robust and scalable solutions.
• Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and translate them into effective platform and infrastructure improvements.
• Debug, maintain, and enhance large-scale codebases while ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems, distributed systems, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Go, with additional experience in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and experience working with high-scale data systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized cloud-native environments.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and operating distributed systems in production.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across complex, multi-component systems.
• Ability to work independently with high autonomy while making sound technical decisions.
• Experience in high-growth engineering environments is a strong plus.
• Nice-to-have: exposure to database internals, query optimization, observability tooling, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
