Senior Product Engineer - Backend (General / Flex)

Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go, supporting high-throughput data pipelines and critical platform components.
• Develop and optimize systems for processing and querying large-scale datasets with high efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align technical solutions with user needs and business goals.
• Architect systems capable of handling billions of signals with low latency and high reliability.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in complex systems, including usage-based billing and metering infrastructures.
• Establish and promote best practices in code quality, testing, and system design.
• Mentor team members and contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on continuous improvement.
• Drive adoption of observability standards and tools across the platform.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience building and scaling distributed backend systems, preferably using Go.
• Strong knowledge of data processing technologies and high-performance databases such as ClickHouse or messaging systems like Kafka.
• Product-oriented mindset with the ability to balance technical decisions and business impact.
• Solid understanding of observability concepts and tools, including OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.
• Proven experience designing systems for scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience mentoring engineers.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities.
• Experience with Java or exposure to billing and metering systems is a plus.
